K9 Coach - Inhome Dog Training Melbourne

K9 Coach is an inhome dog trainer in Melbourne. Specialising in dog and puppy training in the comfort and the familiarity of the dogs home surroundings, addressing behavioural and other canine problems using positive reinforcement methods.

K9Coach was formed by dog trainer Hans van Heesbeen, who was the Victorian Master Franchisee for 4 1/2 years of a very well known and established international inhome dog training company. Hans is a hands-on dog trainer, having helped many people with their doggy problems and in August 2007 he formed K9Coach, which now benefits from his many years of experience.

K9Coach uses coaching methods, rather than anything harsh or unpleasant. Our dogs work with us, rather than for us; we lead, rather than be led; we show the way, rather than following. Therefore, it isn't necessary to use chokers or other harsh methods.

Hans, is a passionate and accredited trainer and assessor (Cert IV AWT), and also runs the Australian DogTrainers Academy - an organisation specialising in training people to become dog trainers, again using reward based methods. The Academy is one of the very few institutes offering nationally recognised dog trainer courses with their ‘Conduct Companion Animal Training (RUV 4512A)'.

‘K9Coach' and its division ‘Puppy Coach' specialise in in-home training – showing people in the comfort of their own home the best way to train their dog to suit their needs. In other words, our training is tailored to ensure your involvement with your canine more enjoyable.

‘Puppy Coach' also runs professional puppy training classes – giving your puppy one of the best groundings it can get in the crucial period of between the 8th and 16th week.
