• I am enjoying our walks more. Noodle seems to be getting better on the leader however he will still try and get ahead of me at every chance. Compared to a few months ago, when he was quite aggressive to get what he wanted, he is now more relaxed and more happy to comply with our orders. • Hans worked miracles with our 2 Jack Russells. Before he came walking was a nightmare they would bark at everything and it was very stressfull for us and for them. Within 2 weeks we were walking at the park and the dogs didn't react to any other dogs, it is now a pleasure to walk them and we are all getting lots more exercise. • Hi, just wanted to say thanks for your advice last week with our Beagle X Cavvy, I followed your suggestion of closing all the blinds and ignoring the jumping (the ignoring was the hardest part!) and things have definitely improved! She hasn\'t done it for about 4 days and we have rewarded her good behaviour with a Schmacko each morning. How long should be we reward the good behaviour? • I have been to Hans van Heesbeen, K9Coach, for assistance with training 2 dogs over a couple of years. Both were young Rhodesian Ridgeback bitches, and in both cases I had problems with their behaviour in the show ring. The first bitch was highly dominant & would not allow judges to handle her. She would jump away and often growl. Hans worked with her for 4 or 5 sessions & gave me a number of exercises to do between visits. She was also put on tranquilizers, prescribed by my vet. She slowly improved & I was able to show her successfully; she got her Australian Champion title at 2 years of age. The second bitch, granddaughter of the first became timid at 9 months of age after a period of not being shown. She would not allow judges touch her she would lie down and scramble away. She had only one session with Hans plus a lot of work at home. I got advice over the phone from Hans during this training period. I had sought advice from other trainers in both cases before going to Hans, but wasn't satisfied. In contrast Hans has a much more proactive, hands-on practical approach and a lot of exercise the owner can carry out. Improvement can be expected quite soon, progressive exercises are provided as needed. JH / inhome 1108

• To who it may concern, It is our pleasure to give the highest recommendation for Hans van Heesbeen services as a dog trainer. We had our very special American Staffordshire Terrier Max trained with K9Coach for duration of five lessons. As much as Max is as sweet as sugar, he is also tremendously protective of his 'Mum' and could be dog aggressive in some situations. Additionally, Max is 30 kg of sheer need to take you flying at the end of his lead towards a totally important tree. Put simply, he ran us (literally). We found Hans from a classified ad on the Internet. Hans was caring and patient trainer. As Hans would say: 'He helped to train us' not train the dog.; By the time our training sessions were complete, Max had turned a huge corner. Today, he is a calm and well behaved! Thanks Hans ! • What we found most enlightening was Hans' diagnosis that Bullwinkle & Rocky (Staffordshire terriers) were exhibiting signs of stress, most likely from having moved so much and this in turn was causing a lot of behaviour aimed at exerting dominance over each of the children, Travis and myself. Once this was clearly explained it became obvious thet the lead walking - why we called Hans in the first place - was a side issue. We have put considerable time into getting the 2 Staffies to behave on the lead. Less than two months later I can now walk both dogs at the same time by myself and pick up Xander from kinder.
